Forces lay siege to Sopore village
  • Sopore, 28 October : Government forces on Sunday early morning launched a cordon-and-search operation in Sopore Village of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
    Reports said that a joint team of army’s 22 RR, SOG and CRPF launched a cordon-and-search operation at Zaloora area of Sopore.
    Police sources said that operation was launched following the inputs about the movement of suspected militants.
    “All entry and exit points of the area have been sealed and door to door searches are going on,” sources said.
    The searches were going on when this report was filed.

Srinagar: Several locals including women were allegedly beaten by government forces soon after vehicle of 55 Rashtriya rifles was targeted on Watchi Darbagh road on Friday.
Talking to media, locals alleged that an hour after blast took place in the area, forces barged into many residential houses and beat up family members and ransacked other property as well.
