Govt pre-pones vacations for summer zone schools Summer vacations now from 28th May 2018 to 15th July 2018

Srinagar, May 26 : Government today modified the order issued for the summer vacations of the schools upto 12th class falling under Summer Zone of Jammu Division. This was informed by Minister for School Education, Haj and Auqaf Chowdhary Zulfiqar Ali through a tweet. He said that the step has been taken in the interest of the students and keeping in view the rise in temperature in Jammu Division. Secretary School Education Farooq Ahmad Shah issued an order vide no Edu/Gen/25/97- Part file, dated: 26-05-2018 in this regard according to which the summer vacations for all the schools upto 12th class falling under the Summer Zone of Jammu Division shall now be from 28th May 2018 to 15th July 2018.
It has been further mentioned in the order that if any recognized private school doesn’t adhere to the order in letter and spirit, strict action under norms shall be taken against them. Earlier the summer vacations in these schools were announced from 4th June 2018 to 23rd July 2018. SOURCE

Srinagar, May 26 : Hurriyat Conference Executive Body (Majlis Shora) Saturday held a meeting at Hyderpora under the chair of its Chairman Syed Ali Geelani. The meeting as per the statement issued to KNS was attended by the heads or the representatives of its constituent parties including Haji Gh Nabi Sumji, Shahid Saleem, Hakim Ab Rashid, Gh Mohammad Nagu, Bashir Ahmad Andrabi, Bilal Sidiqi, Gulshan Abas, Zamroda Habib, Mohd Yusuf Naqash, Molvi Bashir Irfani, Ad Mohd Shafi Reshi, Mohd Shafi Lone, Imtiaz Ahmad Shah, Syed Mohd Shafi, Peer Ab Rashid, Mohd Yasin Ataie, Kh Firdous and Gh Ahmad Gulzar.
The participants reviewed and discussed the prevailing grim situation in state and it was observed that Indian authorities instead of implementing a realistic and political approach for the resolution of issue, are following their obsessive dogma.

Appeals Hurriyat to display maturity, show responsibility towards people Jammu, May 26  Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti has welcomed the assertion of the Union Home Minister, Rajnath Singh today that Centre is ready to talk to every stakeholder including Hurriyat Conference in Jammu & Kashmir if it comes to table.
The Union Home Minister made these remarks in an interactive session with a television channel today.In a statement, the Chief Minister described it as a welcome step to initiate dialogue and reconciliation in the State. She said that given the positive outcome from the ground on the Ramadhan ceasefire in the State, the peace constituency in the country and the State should feel encouraged to start the much needed process of peaceful engagement with all stakeholders in the State.

Srinagar, May 20 (Kashmir 24X7): Law enforcing authorities on Sunday imposed restrictions in old parts of Srinagar city for the second day in running a day before “Eidgah Chalo” called by Joint Residence Leadership (JRL) on the eve of the death anniversaries of Mirwaiz Molvi Mohammad Farooq and Ab Gani Lone tomorrow on Monday. The restrictions have crippled normal life in almost all the old parts of Srinagar city.
