You can no longer forward a WhatsApp message to more than five chats: Here’s why

After being pulled up by the government over , WhatsApp has begun rolling out new initiatives aimed at curbing spread of rumours and educate users on how to spot fake news. The company on Wednesday said it had begun rolling out the cap on forwarding a message to more than five chats (contacts or groups) in one go. This includes limit on forwarding messages, photos, and videos. “We believe that these changes – which we’ll continue to evaluate – will help keep WhatsApp the way it was designed to be A private messaging app,” WhatsApp said last month.
